New Territory

21 Days of Focused Prayer – Day 8
1 Chron 4:10; Isaiah 54:2-3; Romans 16:20

Isaiah 54:2-3 (Amplified Bible)
2 Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes,
3 For you will spread abroad to the right hand and to the left; and your offspring will possess the nations and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

Territories are areas that are governed over but not necessarily an integrated part a good example is Guam. Guam is a territory of the United States, but it is not a state or a part of a state. Its government is subject to the rules and laws of the US and the people of Guam are US citizens with all the rights and privileges that comes with being a citizen.

As an individual new territories can include physical areas such as a new home, a new job or even addition of children. But territories could also include non-physical things as attending collage, taking bible classes, learning a new skill or taking on a new leadership role.

What we are praying for here is to take control and dominion over new areas in our lives and to “inhabit the desolate cities”.
