Yesterday when I stopped to get my mom some strawberry's there was this bird in the parking lot. If you were to ask my husband he would tell you that it was a Blue Jay. But you know what that is not correct. The bird I saw was a Stellar Jay as shown in the picture above.
A Blue Jay is native to the eastern half of the US and is slightly smaller and has a white under belly. This is the bird that the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team is named after. It is shown in the picture below.
Just a bit of trivia for you west coasters.
