Strawberry Season

These are the freshly cleaned local strawberries that I picked up for my mom at the Yakama Fruit Market in Bothell. Now that she lives in Kenmore I drive by it when I go to her place and these last couple of weeks they have had local strawberries so I stop in and get her a pint, clean and cut them up and put them in individual serving baggies for her to enjoy during the week.

Now you might think that I am being the “good daughter” but the fact is that I do it for my self also. See every time I stop to get her some, I bring some home for myself also. I love fresh strawberries and raspberries (so does my mom). I know that cherries are big here but for me it is all about the berry.

So today I got my mom strawberries and oh by the way, got some for myself too.

I love stawberries too! Jesse (my youngest) has been caring for a stawberry plant. We have fresh berries in our own back yard! Check my post later today, we have a great story about the miracle strawberries!
